I am out of my comfort zone yet I ready to make this happen.
I’m giving you 30min Solo-sodes { Sheariously new word of the day…solo episodes} of fundamental Sheariously Insight & will be having longer episodes with special Guests joining. I’m delivering more insight about Homebased Salon Lifestyle plus getting all those marvelous listeners to get to know me at a better level compared to writing blogs & posts on Social media.
I want to let you in on something that holds me back on my creative abilities. I am not the strongest writer or speaker. I mumble my words, I make new words up & I feel that my writing, speech can be all over the place. I can tell you now these walls of insecurities are getting knocked down and rebuilt by challenges that make a sturdier self.
To be clear about the podcast, I wanna keep it Sheariously simple & real. I don't want to edit my verbal insecurities as that is something that is in my everyday life. It is a part of me & I want you to be apart of who I truly am. Social Media…technology in general can easily sway you think differently when edits or filters are preformed. Yes, I created an intro segment to be edited into each episode {there is no outro music yet, I'm still learning the basic of uploading & making time to make episodes...will outro music make or break the podcast...no but as a creative, I must try to improve the quality as time comes. The talk it' self will be free flowing, magical AF & uncensored. I swear with an uplifting approach.
Let me tell you about the recording of the first episode, I’ve tried reading off a script countless times to help me stay on track of the topic. It wasn’t my favorite method. Then I put on a blind folded & ear plugs & let it out. That is the #1 Sheariously Episode you will witness in your ear holes. Is it a method of all episodes? No, I have to keep finding a new groove in recording & podcast marketing. Will I preform top notch quality in the beginning….of course not, it will be a journey as all new challenges arise.
When you work in a beauty industry at times it feels like that every aspect in your life has to be beautifully perfectly executed….a persona that you want to shine the light on other people looking in. Well let me fucking tell you it is exhausting. Perfection is unattainable & I am learning to lower my own high expectations towards myself. Work in progress & being self aware.
When I stepped away from working in a typical Salon atmosphere, I was able to dismantle aspects about the beauty industry that did not align with myself. I’ve built a well rounded sustainable & profitable Beauty Business from home. I developed self independent growth both in the industry and personal becoming a SHE-EO. Reminder: Always in discovery self/business mode. I was able to have higher quality skill sets while performing on my clients on at a time.... this does not just mean my snip-snip, colouring hair skills, business skills… this also leveled up my listening to learn Skills. Offering others a chance to feel they belong. Listening is my favorite learning tool…listening is a great teacher. Sheariously listening to the podcast to gain knowledge & laughs.
My mission with the podcast, making those marvelous listeners know that they belong in their course of building a Legit Beauty Business at home. I’m going to be Sheariously sharing some spotlight & Shit-uations experiences. No hold backs. There has a been a huge shift in our industry as more Beauty Providers are entering the Home Salon Lifestyle. I’ve been monitoring on Social Media. Especially higher influx since Covid-crisis. Many Stylists reached out with questions & increase downloads of
