Beauty Budget

LET'S GET SHEARIOUS!

Everybody's Hair Budget is different, as each individual has their own unique hair structure, hair goals & the amount of cha-ching they receive each pay day. Don't forget ALL the other beauty categories that you desire & want to upkeep. [makeup, skin care, nails, fashion, etc]

Having a Beauty Budget that correlates into your personal budget is essential if you are wanting to be above in your expenses.

Beauty services can be expensive & always increasing in price, so don't you be forgetting that your lifestyle/expenses are constantly changing too. Unexpected costs arise like new baby on the way, lost job, new job wage decrease, home/vehicle repairs, moving...the list goes on. What do you do to compensate? [Not everyone can make it rain money] Are you one to put on hold your beauty maintenance sessions {If so which one first?} or one to cut back on your Starbucks &/or other ? You choose your priority.

I personally don't want to break your bank, it's not my goal to dry up your wallet with my hair service prices.

My goal & purpose is to take you along a hair journey. What does that even mean? Get settled in, I'll take you on it.

My Hair Journey with Guests begins with a thorough consultation. Were you hoping for something more miraculous? I wont hold it against you if you're disappointed but I truly value consultations as the most pinnacle part of the Guest experience

Did you know, a high % of consumers don't receive a full consultation. At the beginning, I didn't offer this segment in my consultation.

Through the years I refined my art of consultation. Collecting what my Guests favorite/worst part of a consultation is.

Can you guess what part of the consultation that gets missed the most?

PRICE!

Ready for some honestly?!?! Talking about money for a service.  MOST AWKWARD experience! It's just EW for both client & Hairstylist.

Pro Tip:

THINK ABOUTS!

Found an eye-gasim Pinterest photo of hair colour.

Does your Hairstylist take the time to give you insight on exp

Depending on your starting hair canvas it will take a few sessions to achieve the desired hue. Can you afford the journey to get there?

Once you get to the desired hue {What's the maintenance like? How often do you need to visit the chair? Can you afford the Maintenance price?

So, being realistic with your Hairstylist/Salon price menu & what you can afford from your bank account during your consultation is substantial. Hair is maintenance & there will ALWAYS be an investment.

Ask yourself, how often do you want to visit your Hairstylist? Which hair products are necessary for your hair to preserve your hairs health? Is your hair colour goal MANEtainable to your lifestyle or hairs integrity? So many questions to consider but its a necessary think. Sorry not sorry if I made you over think.

I offer 30+ minute discussion prior to your first session or transformation. YOU BETCHA!

Explaining the depth of colour processes, the evolution on particular hues & home maintenance with a price attached. I conduct my Beauty Budget at the beginning of each session. By doing so, there is no "WTF" moments during the payment part. Never fun to be blind sided by the ticket price outcome. Also, to add  I now charge a 1 time consultation fee for New Guests. A 30+ minute in depth convo to get to know you, me, your hair, hair goals & the price journey you can afford. As more time goes in on analyzing the hair journey. It's my priority to give my Guests my forever evolving knowledge of hair colouring & health of your hair structure.

With particular hair colour journeys & depending on your starting hair canvas can require more steps, longer sessions, extra product usages, additives & home regime products, can be costly. Please keep in mind that each head of hair will have a different price tag.

I personally don't want to break your bank, if your hair vision requires a higher price ticket.

Depending on what type of hair service you require

Note: your Hairstylist will always increase their prices as their hair knowledge/skills will continue evolve, also the product required to run a salon business raise in cost too.

As a Hairstyist, we have all been there with the Guest not impressed by the price tag.

Honestly, I have giving deals to please others {I'm a people pleaser} Well, the learns to this

How often do you want to visit your Hairstylist? What is your level of time  per session? Truly, this will depend on your desired hair colour, the structure of your hair & home hair regime.
Some hair colour techniques/hues live longer then others. But remember all artificial hair colour evolves & is maintenance. Again, there will always be an investment on your hair.

During consulations, nothing saddens me more, when a Guest admires a beautiful fashion colour [Pink/Purple/Teal/Green/Blue/Grey] & explaining my pricing/process of this higher maintenance hair colour & it's unattainable in their budget, and/or it's unattainable with their hair structure.

I have a Blog coming soon called "Funk Hue" sharing my expertise on the reality of living the colourful hair life. Plus, another Blog about the "Artificial Blonde Life".  {So much goes to blogging}

:
My goal is to be very transparent & hopefully these blogs will give insight to both Guests & Hairstylist. But please also remember my beauty budget pricing will either be less or more than other hair artists.
